About The Nest & The Nerd

The Nest & The Nerd is an independent review site run by two people under one roof: Alex covers tech and gadgets, Noreen covers home, family, and baby gear. We started it because most roundups online are written without anyone actually using the product past a photo shoot.

Our methodology

Every product we recommend is purchased at full price with our own money. We use it in daily life for a minimum of two weeks — usually longer — before publishing a review. The "Updated" date on every post reflects the last time we re-checked that product still holds up.

We do not accept free products, sponsored placements, or pay-to-rank listings.

How we make money

Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change which product we recommend — our rating and ranking are decided before any link is added to a post.

Who writes these reviews

Alex covers tech and gadgets — phones, smart home, and the gear that actually gets used daily, not just unboxed for a photo.

Noreen covers home, family, and baby gear — tested in a real house, not a showroom.

Corrections

If something in a review is wrong or has changed, tell us and we'll fix it. Every correction is noted with an updated date, not silently edited.
